a little marketing creativity, you can capitalize
on these topics to create buzz for your Dealership.
Use the news to your advantage.
Example 1:
The Olympics. They’re about achievement, recognition,
medals, and awards. But what do they have to do
with your Dealership?
Get creative. Few businesses have the resources
to be an Olympic sponsor, but your Dealership may
be able to support the Special Olympics in your
community. Generate buzz by making a pledge to donate
some dollar amount for every medal won by Team "Your
City". No resources for that? How about donating
a small percentage of every service performed during
the Olympic games to a local charity? What a great
way to support a worthy cause, while increasing
business during an otherwise slow period.
Publish that on your website, in your blog, and
in your local paper. Create an online press release
and be sure to send a copy to your local newspaper(s).
Example 2:
" The World Economic Problems" – so says
a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. Poll.
"Well yes" you say, "that’s the
major reason why business has slowed. People have
tightened their purse strings."
